Scope and legal references
This notice covers personal data processing carried out through the website, contact forms, job applications, business communications and reserved digital services.
Processing is carried out in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018 and applicable measures issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority.
Categories of data processed
ITEC processes only data that is relevant to the stated purposes and applies data minimization, accuracy and storage limitation criteria.
- Technical navigation and security data, including IP address, application logs, technical identifiers and device data.
- Identification and contact data provided through forms, email, telephone or business enquiries.
- Professional data and documents submitted for applications, recruitment or collaborations.
- Contractual, administrative and operational data required to manage relationships with clients, suppliers and partners.
- Account and access data for reserved services, where available.
Purposes and legal bases
Each processing activity relies on an appropriate and documented legal basis. ITEC does not use data for purposes incompatible with those communicated.
- Responding to requests and managing communications: pre-contractual steps or legitimate interest.
- Managing contracts, services, supplies and administrative obligations: contract performance and legal obligations.
- Evaluating applications and professional profiles: pre-contractual steps and legitimate recruitment interest.
- Protecting the website, infrastructure and users from abuse, unauthorized access or fraud: legitimate interest and security obligations.
- Sending promotional communications only where based on valid consent or another applicable legal basis.
Processing methods, security and authorization
Data is processed using IT tools and organizational procedures aligned with privacy by design and privacy by default principles.
Access is limited to authorized personnel and to suppliers appointed, where necessary, as processors under Article 28 GDPR.
- Access controls, operational logging and safeguards against loss, alteration or unauthorized access.
- Periodic assessments of security, availability and integrity of systems.
- Role separation and privilege limitation according to operational need.
Retention
Data is retained for the time required by the purposes for which it is collected, without prejudice to legal obligations or the need to protect the rights of ITEC or third parties.
Where a fixed period cannot be stated, ITEC uses criteria based on the nature of the relationship, civil and tax obligations, cybersecurity, limitation periods and data subject requests.
Recipients and transfers
Data may be disclosed to IT suppliers, consultants, technical partners, financial institutions, public authorities or other parties where necessary for the stated purposes or required by law.
Any transfer outside the European Economic Area takes place only under adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other safeguards provided by Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.
Data subject rights and complaints
Data subjects may exercise the rights under Articles 15-22 GDPR and receive a response within one month, unless an extension is allowed by law.
A complaint may always be lodged with the Italian Data Protection Authority or an action brought before the competent court.
- Access, rectification, updating and completion of data.
- Erasure, restriction of processing and objection where applicable.
- Data portability where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means.
- Withdrawal of consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
